Krokhol Disc Golf Course

Krokhol is a championship caliber disc golf course just outside of Oslo, Norway. It was established in 2018 and with the help of a huge team of volunteers it quickly became the number 1 course in the region. It features spectacular scenery, rolling hills, elevation, creeks and shots over bodies of water. The course is a mix of fairly open and woodsy golf. The course is very challenging and fun to play, and you need a full repertoire of disc golf shots to conquer the course.

The Gold layout is a par 62 with a high SSA. It requires power and control to score well. Since the design process started, the goal was to give the best players in the world a real challenge. Par is rated just above 1000.

The Blue layout is played from shorter tees that carve whole new fairways, and plays to the same baskets as gold. The blue layout emphasizes touch and gap hitting, and does not require as many power drives as the gold layout. Par on the blue layout is about 950.

The team behind Krokhol has put a lot of effort into the aesthetics to try to make the best player experience possible. The goal is to give a zen-like feeling in the woods and get the locals to forget about their busy lives in the city when they play the course. The design team always tries to go above and beyond and focus on little details, like beautiful teepads and teesigns that blend well into nature by using natural wood. The team includes graphic designers and landscape architects to achieve the best player experience possible.

The venue features a cafe, pro shop and clubhouse, and there is a large conference hotel nearby. The course is conveniently located a short 20 minute drive from Oslo City Center, and a 40 min drive from Oslo International Airport.

Krokhol DGC has been in the UDisc top 10 for four consecutive years. It debuted at 9th place in 2019, 3rd in 2020, and in 2021 and 2022 it got 2nd place, only beaten by Maple Hill. So according to Udisc users it is currently the best rated course in Europe.
